Thanks to a day of  dry and sunny weather Lauro Golf celebrated both the day of Finnish culture and the day of Andalucia with the “Kalevalan päivä/Día de Andalucía” competition.
Andalusian and Finnish flags were hanging as a symbol of brotherhood between the two communities.
The day of Finnish culture is  known as “Kalevalan päivä” due to the famous work  “Kalevala”, an epic poem compiled by Elias Lönnrot in the nineteenth century from Finnish folk sources, and it is equivalent to the Spanish “Cantar de Mio Cid”.
The competition  was a great success, and  a group of 15 Finnish juniors demonstrated the quality of their game and gave a good account of their passion for golf.
After the game, all the participants could enjoy an exquisite paella and a refreshing beverage served by the Mama Luchia Restaurant, the new management team at  the main restaurant at Lauro Golf.
