Directions:
• From A-7 (Autopista del Mediterraneo)
• Take  A-355 towards Ojen for about 18 to 20 minutes.
• Take the exit towards  MA-3303 connecting Coin (to the left) with Fuengirola   and Mijas (to the right).
• Go right towards Fuengirola and Mijas.
• After 5 minutes you will get to a roundabout where Alhaurin Golf is sign posted.
Alternatively, for people coming from Fuengirola, Benalmadena, and the  Mijas area, they need to drive up to Mijas Village from Fuengirola ( A-387).
When you are on A-7 / AP-7, this is exit 214 when coming from Malaga or exit 213 when coming from Cadiz)

UPCOMING  CHARITY TOURNAMENT
We are holding a great charity event with Miguel Ángel Jiménez on 21st March.
In summary, the day will consist of:
• Golf clinic by Miguel Ángel Jiménez at the driving range, where  he will spend some time with each child.
• Pro-Am competition for kids on the par 3 course (The Pros will include some of the Sports Academy  Team.

• Adult competition on the main course.
• Mercedes Benz for hole in one.
• Longest drive competition from the bar terrace to fairway number 1!
• Prize giving by Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
• Special prize auction: Real Madrid signed shirts, Fernando Alonso signed Spanish Flag, etc.
All funds will be to support Colegio Internacional Torrequebrada setting up a School in Haití. The school building will be financed by Real Madrid Football Club.

2009 AND ALL THAT

There are probably very few of us who will not be glad to see the back of  2009, a year which will be remembered as a very very difficult period for the golfing  industry in Andalucia. As well as the economic recession in general, we have also seen the sterling pound continue to suffer  in value  in relation to the euro, meaning that our main market  the UK,  has suffered a double hit. In addition we have witnessed  the  demise of the Inta Group (Bill Goff, 3D Golf, Longshot etc) which has sent shockwaves throughout the industry, so it is no surprise that  the golfing market is in a very nervous state.

I can only reiterate what I have said many times over the last few years, we have to keep believing in the Costa del Golf ,and work constantly  to promote the area  more than ever. Remember, this is still the number one destination in Europe for the travelling golfer in terms of quantity and quality of golf courses. Times are tough, but we must stick together.
